I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Brigham Young University. My research focuses on Bayesian methods, particularly methods for machine learning and categorical random variables, together with the use of these methods in causal inference, econometrics, healthcare, finance, and sports.

I was previously a Lecturer and Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, in the Department of Statistics, working with the Causal Inference group. I did my Ph.D. in Statistics at the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, Department of Information, Risk and Operations Management, under the guidance of Carlos Carvalho.
